Pilgrimage of Temple of Lucknow

Nandi of Lord Shiva from Shiv Shakti Temple

As Lucknow is one of the oldest cities of India it is obvious that several types of civilisation existed at different periods. Some disappeared over time and some exist as a monument or find a place in museums. Each civilisation brought different cultures and traditions. And all of its summations made modern culture and tradition.

Temple is an old tradition for communal people. It became popular for its architecture and attractions. There were fairs or mela stalls for temple visitors. People were not only desperate to come here but also some need for home forces them to come here. Still, Lucknow has some temples which are more than 100 years old in architecture. Temple visitors used to come for their God to worship and shop at the nearest market or stalls.

As Lucknow is a city of monuments and it’s every pillar invites researchers to explore the oldest treasure of thought and perception of old Lucknowites, it is a responsible thing to protect and preserve it for the next generation.
